Privacy Notice

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who we are

Centrix Partners LLP ("Centrix", "we", "us") is a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales under number OC454569, with its registered office at 77 Farringdon Road, London EC1M 3JU.

We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under number ZB867272.

If you have any questions about this notice or how we use your personal data, email admin@centrixpartners.co.uk or write to us at the address above.

2. Who this notice covers

Centrix is a buy-side M&A advisory firm. We identify, approach and qualify businesses that may be of interest to our clients, and support our clients through to heads of terms and completion. This notice covers:

  1. Visitors to our website and people who contact us through it.
  2. Clients and prospective clients, and the people who work for them.
  3. Owners, directors and managers of businesses we research or approach on behalf of our clients.
  4. Professional contacts, such as lawyers, accountants and other advisers we work with.

3. What we collect and where it comes from

  1. Contact and professional details – name, job title, employer, business email address, phone number and LinkedIn profile.
  2. Business information – information about the business you own or manage, such as its ownership, trading, financial performance and plans, and your views on a possible sale or investment.
  3. Correspondence, meeting notes and call transcripts – emails and notes of meetings. We often record and transcribe calls to keep an accurate record of what was discussed, and we tell participants when we do.
  4. Website data – information you submit through our contact form, and technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.

We collect this information directly from you, and from other sources, including Companies House and other public registers, company websites, press coverage, LinkedIn, commercial business-information databases such as Apollo, and our clients and professional contacts.

4. How and why we use it

We only use personal data where we have a lawful basis to do so:

  1. To research and approach businesses on behalf of our clients, to understand whether an owner may be open to a transaction, and to share relevant information with our client – on the basis of our and our clients' legitimate interests in identifying and pursuing acquisition opportunities.
  2. To respond to enquiries and to deliver our services to clients – on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract, or our legitimate interests in running our business.
  3. To record and transcribe calls, so that we keep an accurate record of discussions – on the basis of our legitimate interests. If you would prefer a call not to be recorded, tell us at the start and we will not record it.
  4. To send occasional updates about our services to business contacts – on the basis of our legitimate interests, and always with the option to opt out.
  5. To run and improve our website – on the basis of our legitimate interests.
  6. To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered your interests and rights and concluded that they do not override ours. We only use business contact details, and we do not use special category data.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only where needed with:

  1. Our clients – when we introduce a business to a client, we share relevant information about that business and its owners, under a confidentiality agreement where appropriate.
  2. Professional advisers – including lawyers, accountants and due diligence providers working on a transaction.
  3. Service providers who support our business, such as email and cloud storage, business-information databases (Apollo), call recording and transcription (Krisp), and website hosting. They act on our instructions.
  4. Authorities, regulators or courts where the law requires it.

6. International transfers

Some of our clients and service providers, including Apollo and Krisp, are based outside the UK, principally in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected, for example by transferring only to countries the UK recognises as providing adequate protection, or by using the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep it

  1. Enquiries through our website – up to two years from our last contact, unless they lead to an engagement.
  2. Owners and businesses we research or approach – for as long as they remain relevant to a client mandate, and we review these records at least every three years. If you tell us you do not want to be contacted, we keep a minimal record so that we do not contact you again.
  3. Client and transaction records – for six years after the engagement ends, to meet legal and accounting requirements.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  1. Access the personal data we hold about you.
  2. Have inaccurate data corrected.
  3. Have your data erased in certain circumstances.
  4. Restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances.
  5. Object to our use of your data, including where we rely on legitimate interests. If you object to us contacting you about a possible transaction, or to direct marketing, we will stop.
  6. Receive a copy of data you have given us in a portable format, where applicable.
  7. Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email admin@centrixpartners.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

9. Cookies

Our website uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, encryption and multi-factor authentication on our systems.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).

12. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
